Historic Resource Survey
The City of Georgetown, with a grant through the Certified Local Government (CLG) Program of the Texas Historical Commission (THC), commissioned Hardy·Heck·Moore, Inc. (HHM) to conduct a historic resources survey to update a survey that HHM prepared for the Georgetown Heritage Society in 1984. This survey documented all pre-1935 historic resources built within the city limits and its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). A copy of that survey can be found at the Georgetown Public Library for viewing or you can stop by the Planning & Development office and talk to the Historic District Planner for any questions you may have on your property.
In 2007, HHM updated the survey. The update located, documented, and evaluated buildings, structures, objects, and districts built pre-1960 within the city limits and its ETJ. The survey is available online and can be viewed here.
